Soldier of the Future on CNN
You have GOT to check this out: Click for the video. I knew exo-skeletons would inevitably come along with the Future Warrior Project but I didn’t think they’d make something like this. This exo-skeleton actually mimics your movement and thus it makes it possible for you to basically lift a car if you wanted to (and the exo-skeleton wouldn’t break under the extreme weight).
The Future Warrior Project is aready working on a new type of armor which will make it impossible for bullets to penetrate, at least until the enemy makes special bullets that can penetrate this new armor. It’s made out of a weird liquid fluid that becomes as solid as a rock when one spot is pressured, mainly by a bullet. Now if they would combine that armor with this exo-skeleton THEN we’d have super human soldiers. I’m actually surprised no one has ever used this in sci-fi movies, it’s such a cool idea and it doesn’t have anything to do with cyborgs since there’s a human INSIDE of the exo-skeleton rather than the robotic arms being part of a semi-human body. If we had this technology all ready and good to go today, we could just send 1 soldier inside of those Taliban tunnels and have him kill everyone Terminator style! That’s the world I wanna live in some day.
Skin animation!
A lot of posting about skin, huh? Yeah I know. But this was too good, I had to post this!

I really like it, I hope they make more of these but maybe next time have the characters walk on objects too.
New age discrimination?
I feel like writing a new column because of a lot of shit I’ve been seeing lately on the internet but also in real life. In the old days discrimination was not only OK, it was a common everyday thing. There were no laws that prohibited people from discriminating anything. Then we grew up and normal things like race and religion were no longer allowed to be publicly discriminated. But what about the smaller things like body modification and homosexuality? Sure homosexuality is no longer illegal which it used to be, and stuff like tattoos and piercings are becoming more acceptable as the days pass. So why this post?
Let me begin from the beginning. This post could easily offend a lot of people so read at your own will! Now with that disclaimer out of the way I can say what I want to say. Where does all modern day discrimination find its origin? Christianity. Yes I am talking about the west, not Asia or Africa. How dare I say such a horrible thing? Look at the facts and start thinking outside of the box for a moment. Before Christianity became a widespread religion people were doing all sorts of fucked up stuff that is considered disgusting by today’s standards. Hell, if you go back a few thousand years you’ll find some weird shit in Greek history such as public pedophilia and homosexuality that wasn’t only part of their culture but was also embedded into many rituals and customs. There was even an entire army in which only homosexual men were allowed! Why? Could you imagine what a morale boost it gives to be fighting along side of the man you love? All of Greece was impressed by it, except for the Spartans as they didn’t like homosexuals too much.
Pedophiles are a different subject all together and all I want to say about that is that I don’t entirely agree with it. But there is a difference between a culture in which every boy knows that one day he’s going to get a 30 year old man for a partner, and some sick fuck that goes around molesting and raping little children. But enough about that. What else did people do back then? Body modifications like tattoos and piercings were very common back then and so was shit like bestiality or zoophilia. Would I ever want to fuck an animal? No. But do I give a shit about what other people want to do? No. When it comes to sex related crimes I think we should scrap all of them except for the stuff that nobody wants, such as rape and molestation. Everything else are just left-overs of the Christian way of life that we’re all dismissing at an incredible rate per decade. Did you know that there are sex positions that are illegal in some states of America? Did you know stuff like SM was illegal as well? Why? I’m not into that stuff but what gives you the fucking right to say that nobody else can do it either?
With Christianity we dug a hole that we are no desperately trying to get out of, but it’s hard on some people. And I can imagine that it is. Which brings me to the point of this post. Discrimination nowadays is hidden, or covered up. People go around saying shit like “Homosexuals make me sick… But I don’t hate them!”. What the fuck is that? Which one is it? Obviously the last addition is merey there because modern society looks down on people that discriminate things that are already widely accepted. Allow me to grab a post from the IMDB board for Kinsey, a movie about Alfred Kinsey who was the first man to actually study human sexuality back in the 1940’s. Bare with me… The topic’s title is “Gaymovie!! Straight people has been warned!“.
“Ok. I bought the dvd and started looking at it with my girlfriend. Then came the scene in the bedroom with Kinsey and his male student startet kissing.
Pressed stop and eject, the throwed the dvd away. Why?
-I’am a heterosexual male. I get sick of this kind, like i get sick of animalsex and other kinds.
Am i wrong? Are gay people wrong? Are “animalsex” people wrong? -I DONT CARE what is right or wrong! I just HATE watching gay sexscenes!
All films sould told of gay behavior on the cover, so people like me didnt have to get sick watching it.
I’m sure many of you who read this is gaypeople, and dont understand me beeing sick of ur kind, so dont bother getting pissed.
Animalsex is leagal in Norway, but i have never seen a film including it. And i’m sure many would get sick watching a film of human/animal having sex. I’m also sure if its gonna be normal i films, bought straight and gaypeople would prefeer having the cover telling it.
Got the point”
He then goes on with:
“Let me answer ur question in this way:
1. If a man like to see 2 girls kissing, does he natrually like to see 2 guys kiss?
2. The world remember Madonna and Britney from VMA 2003, But what would had happen if it was Mike Tyson and Will Smith?
3. Is it safe to say that girls is “closer” in naturall than guys?
4. Is it safe to say that most of us dont belive that Britney and Madonna had sex before/after?
5. Is it belivable that less of girls kissing, has sex with one another?
6. Is it belivable that moore of guys kissing does have sex with one another?
7. Is it safe to say that most hetory guys LOVE and gets really turned on of seeing 2 girls kissing?
8. Is it safe to say that most hetero girls dont get turned on of seeing 2 guys kissing?
This, if ur intelligent, this basically is the same question as: why is a girl that is *beep* all around called a wh*re, and boys are called men.
But if ur dumb, u think that all men that love to see two girls kiss, do love to se 2 guys do the same thing.
If this dosn’t answer ur question, this will:
I LOVE TO SEE GIRLS KISS, BUT HATE TO SEE MEN KISSING
Can u accept and understand it?“
First of all, I hope this dude gets raped by a gang of skinheads with HIV, second; here’s my question: Why the fuck would you post an entire thread dedicated to your hatred towards homosexual men in the first place when you know that everybody else will disagree with you? I wasn’t very comfortable during that weird scene where those two actors kissed, but was I so repulsed by it that I freaked out and threw away the DVD like it was created in the darkest and deepest depths of hell? Nope. It was this among many other similar things that made me realize that even though everybody says that they don’t have any prejudices whatsoever, everybody is still thinking like people did 100 years ago!
Pretty soon I’ll get a Kanji character tattooed on my neck/throat region (along with the rest of my body throughout the following years) and it’s pretty big and obvious. I did that on purpose. Why? So that I can filter out the fake people from my own people. I also know that I’ll be discriminated for the rest of my life. Like whenever a cop pulls me over because I was speeding, the process will now take longer since he’ll most likely want to run a check on me to see if I’m not an escaped convict. I’ll also have to accept the fact that I’ll never get a job with a decent salary, not that I was planning on getting one anyway but I’m just saying. So why do this to myself? Because next time when I meet someone and he or she doesn’t look at me like I’m some scumbag ex-convict, I’ll know that I’m looking at a person who doesn’t discriminate people based on their appearance. I would hate to get to know someone and one day find out he or she is some narrow minded fuck who I don’t want to be associated with.
So here we are, at the end of my column. All I want to say to you is the following: Unlearn, think for yourself, forget about everything you thought was right or wrong and reconsider it.
I know I kinda slipped off-topic here and there but this was quite an impulsive post which I just wrote up as I went with it.
Fucked up.
Today I tried out some magic mushrooms and for the first time I got really fucked up. I don’t drink (or smoke for that matter) so I’ve never been drunk or anything so this was quite an interesting experience. I live in The Netherlands and magic mushrooms can legally be obtained at any smart shop in pretty much any city. In fact, they are 100% legal while marijuana is only allowed to be carried in personal dozes, even though they are officially illegal even here in The Netherlands. The reason why I wanted to try this out was because I feel like everyone needs to do some sort of drugs in order to know what you’re dealing with when your own friends or even your own kids start messing around with it because chances are that your friends and/or kids try it out as well and when you share that experience you know how to deal with it.
My parents never did so that creates sort of a weird gap with me knowing the facts and having the experience while they only know what their parents told them about drugs, which is drugs are bad. And they are! I’m no junkie or anything and I wasn’t planning on becoming one either. That’s why I took a non-addictive drug. Magic mushrooms give you an experience rather than a feeling, of course you’ll laugh your ass off most of the time while on a trip but that’s not because the mushrooms made you feel happy, it’s because the world around you distorts and gets so weird all you can do is laugh. So if you want to try out a drug I suggest you try out something that messes with your senses rather than something that gives you an artificial feeling that then hooks you and makes you an addict if you don’t have enough self control. Of course this has to be legal in your country and right now The Netherlands is the only country in the western world that legalizes magic mushrooms, so don’t blame me if you’re sentenced to death for possession of drugs in Thailand because I did warn you. What are your thoughts on the subject? Keep in mind, I do live in a country known for legalized and allowed drug usage among other things that most countries aren’t even considering right now and that includes gay marriage which we were the first to allow. Yes we are very open minded people indeed. If you are interested in the effects, let’s just say that at one point I started chewing oxygen… That’s how weird it gets.
P.S: Try to avoid eating the mushrooms! If only I knew they’d taste THAT fucking disgusting before I started eating them… Seriously, they taste awful.
Master Chief waxed?!
We all know that gaming has become something much more mainstream than 20 years ago when it was only for basement, Dungeons And Dragons playing nerds. In fact, it has become so mainstream that almost everyone has played at least one game. Today there isn’t a single kid in the western world that hasn’t played a game at one point in time. So with this huge step forward for gaming as a hobby and the industry behind it now comes a new milestone. A wax model of Master Chief from the Halo franchise is currently being assembled in the Madame Tussauds waxwork museum! This museum is a world famous landmark with tons of celebrities and popular cult icons, and now it even has a game character. That’s pretty damn amazing. I never really thought it would all go so fast but hey, I’m not complaining.

Google Earth “Sky” feature
I totally forgot to mention this. There’s a new version of Google Earth which contain a new feature. This new feature allows you to look up into the sky and see all kinds of stars and planets and more. There’s lots of information so would-be astronomers can explore space in a fun and informative way. It’s pretty cool, so check it out.
You can get the latest version of Google Earth right here.
Anticipation…
Right now I’m going through a depression that can only be caused by the fact that in a couple of days I’ll be playing a kick ass game that I’ve been waiting on for months. This happens every time a good game is right around the corner, but this time it’s much much worse… Not only are there going to be two awesome games out by the end of this month, but in November there’ll be even more!! So right now all I want to do is play those games, which is impossible in so many ways right now and it’s pissing the fuck out of me. So what do I do? Usually I just sit around and hope for a coma to hit me so I can wake up and start playing straight away, but not this time.
You see guys, uhm, I’m not sure how to tell you this so I’ll just throw it out there: I’ve started watching The O.C. I have to say it’s fun to watch, gets kinda annoying at times though. Sometimes I feel like the director is trying to make it a viewer-participation kinda thing because the main character is supposed to be this bad ass from the street right? But he’s just a little bitch! All this time he’s acting all though and despite his baby face I initially thought: “Well, this could be fun.”. But every time this guy gets into a fight he gets the shit kicked out of him! ARGH! I hate that guy. And now it’s starting to look like the whole Kate situation from Lost, which I have really started to hate. Two guys going for the same girl, there was a time when that would be original and surprising but now it’s just fucking annoying. It’s gotten to the point where I’m not even sure just how much I want to see the next season of Lost. Damn it why doesn’t Kate just die?! That would solve like… All problems! At least all the problems I had with the show…
So, there’s my confession. Do any of you guys know of any good shows other than:
Family Guy- American Dad
- The Simpsons
- Futurama
- 24
- Lost
- Prison Break
- My Name Is Earl
- Firefly (Seen it.. Loved it… Why did they have to cancel it?!?!?!)
- The Shield
- Heroes
- Miami Ink
- L.A. Ink
- The Simple Life (What? Don’t judge me, it’s funny!)
I’m pretty sure I’m following more shows but I can’t think of any more right now, so if anyone knows any good show(s) that are not listed here, please tell me! I’ve got like 2 months to waste and one can only re-watch all the Band of Brothers episodes in a row so many times. Throw me a bone here guys!!

E3 2008 changing AGAIN. The way E3 presents itself is going through yet another change. No, it´s not going back to being a huge convention for tens of thousands of people, but it´s definitely going to get bigger and the bet news is: No more fucking hangar!! In fact, the whole city of LA is out of the picture for at least 2008 as they’re moving to other places.
After ditching the Los Angeles Convention Center, E3 moved from its traditional all-trade May show for 60,000 visitors, to a media and analysts’ show in Santa Monica this year capped at around 3,000 delegates. But MCV can exclusively reveal that the show will move next year, having only stayed in Santa Monica due to a contractual commitment to run some kind of exhibition in the LA city environs. The need for a ‘floorspace’ area explains the much-derided Barker Hanger product showcase. A full review of the event will be conducted by organiser the Entertainment Software Association, but change seems guaranteed.
Well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what this will bring. I hope they’re going back to a May date since all publishers are announcing new games and stuff around that time due to E3 always having been in May. There’s more!
The future of warfare begins now! There’s a new soldier on the battlefield, and it’s not human. If that doesn’t freak you out enough you’ll be shocked to hear that it fires an M249 without any backfiring whatsoever. So basically this thing can shot your head clean off without missing a single bullet while firing between 725 to 1000 bullets per minute! Yeah, I’d really hate to stand in front of one of those fuckers with an AK-47. Good thing I’m not an insurgent, eh?
GayGamer under attack. Some homophobic moron with too much spare time on his hands has been attacking GayGamer.net because just a day before he woke up next to a homosexual feeling all funny and stuff. Just get out of the closet you fucking asshole. (No pun intended.)
GayGamer.net, a site aimed at providing news and reviews for gay gamers, as well as being a safe haven for gay gamers, has been taken offline after a series of malevolent and hateful attacks forced it off the internets. Yes, all of them,
Flynn DeMarco, the owner of GayGamer.net and weekend editor for Kotaku, said that what started as a series of small denial of service attacks on Wednesday morning soon grew into something more threatening. Throughout Thursday the site suffered occasional time-outs but was working on fixing the problem.
Come Friday the site, working with its host, was able to block the IP address the DOS attacks were stemming from. This only made matters worse however as the the sites forums and chat rooms were soon flooded with hate speech and death threats against the sites providers, writers and members.
According to DeMarco, all of the attacks and posts originated from the same IP in Philidelphia.

PS3 haters take on a more serious stand. Now more than ever the violent war between X-Box owners and PlayStation owners is waging on as a 13 year old decided that flame wars was for pussies. Instead, the young man decided to show the world how he felt by spreading his PS hate in the real world.
The Young man had used a permanent black marker to write, “PS3 Sucks” on 23 plastic security cases used to protect the Sony Playstation games from being stolen from the “R” Zone section of the store. The Young man was held until police arrived. After his parents were unable to be reached he was taken to child services.
When he was asked why he did it by police he responded, “I have an Xbox and I hate Playstation. I found the marker lying on the shelf and I guess I was bored. Sorry.”
That sounds like the words of a true Playstation hater. Looks like Microsoft has a customer for life.
Whenever they start fighting each other on the streets, that’s when I’ll join the X-Box owners. Because I love how their console is suffering from much less problems, even though the problems they do have are far more serious. Console fanboys… They make me laugh every time, and I’m not joking either. Source

Jack Thompson finally payed the shrink a visit. Or rather, he was forced to do so. Not too surprising actually since this is the man that said The Sims 2 was pornography.
As GP has previously reported, Thompson is currently embroiled in a pair of federal lawsuits against the Bar (see Florida Bar Gives Jack Thompson a Wedgie Over Bully Case). The Bar has moved to hold a disciplinary hearing against Thompson based on several complaints about the anti-game attorney’s professional conduct, including video game cases involving Grand Theft Auto and Bully. A scheduled June 25th hearing was postponed. Meanwhile, mediation talks have taken place between Thompson and the Bar.

Google strengthens it’s security by acquiring yet another company!
Google acquired Postini for a mere $625m, according to the announcement. The security firm will now become a subsidiary of Google, rather than disappear altogether. And though its particular business segment makes a nice fit in Google’s framework to begin with, the company is already looking toward the future.
It appears that Postini wasn’t acquired simply for its large client book of big companies, but more for what services it can offer Google’s already-existing applications. The security features behind Google Desktop and many of its online applications aren’t as tight as some companies would like, causing them to instead shy away to full Microsoft Exchange server setups. Though these are very costly, they provide arguably better security (assuming you don’t look at the patch list each week.).
Google will probably continue to buy companies until all that is left to buy is the competition! Check out the full story here.
Undercover shoppers wanted! Some statistics companies is looking for kids to volunteer for what appears to be one of the most rediculous things ever. They want kids to go and buy M rated games. That way they can see just how compliant stores and store clerks are to the ratings given to games. Meh.
Together we can keep M-rated video games out of kids’ hands… your participation helps us hold the retail industry accountable for selling sex and violence to kids!
It’s not like the kids didn’t play M rated games already… Once again: Meh.
Gaming tournaments on TV. Only a few years away? Noooo!! I love games and gaming altogether but watching other people play is just boring as hell. It’s like watching any other sport on TV. It’s fun to play but it’s just plain boring to watch.
Tournament.com is a service which allows videogames players to compete in online tournaments for money. Asked specifically about his views on game tournaments being televised, Skelhorn admitted that gaming is a difficult sport to watch on TV “because of the nature of it”, but says that “produced properly I think it is definitely something that can work.”
He told CVG, “It is certainly something I would like to see become successful because mass media like television would really help e-gaming become a mainstream sport.”
