Here’s a quick bit of news from the past few days. Splinter Cell Conviction has been delayed to the fiscal year of 2008/2009. Which probably means it’ll be coming out somewhere around the holidays in 2008. How did this happen, I thought it was originaly set for November 2007. What the fuck?! Moving on. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is coming, I hope to God that’s not what they’re going to call it by the time it gets released but whatever, even if they do I’ll still get it. I haven’t been able to play ANY of the fucking games that came out this November which is really fucked up, I also can’t do any 3D modeling on this PC and 2D animation is too time consuming to do behind the whole family’s PC. Goddamn it!! What else… Oh yeah! There’s a new trailer for 1-18-08 out on Apple.com.

If I have to buy a new videocard I’ll just get the 8800GT. Yes, it’s a mid-range card that performes better than the 8800GTS that I previously had prior to it’s death. So what will it be? 400 buck for a new GTS or 250 bucks for a card that runs a lot faster? Uuuuuh, let me think about that for a few weeks and I’ll get back to you…. I’ll be keeping it short like this for the next few weeks since I’m hardly “plugged in” myself these days.

Sorry for the serious fucking lack of updates guys. I’ll get back to blogging in a few days as my PC has now totally fucking died on me and I really didn’t feel like blogging during it’s final week in which I slowly saw my PC die. It litterally DIED, mkay? All it’s vitals were failing until they all shutdown around the same day. I feel deserted… What the hell am I supposed to do now? I guess I could go outside and see if the sun is still up there, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the sun. Maybe if I walk outside this door the whole world will have gone all Fifth Element on me. That’d be awesome. I’d be cool with a zombie apocalypse too, but only if there are other survivors. I’d hate to be the Will Smith guy from I Am Legend. Yeah that would blow.

Enough bullshit from me, I’ll make it all up to you guys in a couple of days! Be sure to check out Andy’s comment on my tats, it’s kind of funny how he over-did his attempt at offending me and ended up with a piece of comedy gold. Well maybe not gold, but it was funny though.

Alright, I’ve finally gotten my first tattoos. Yes I did two tattoos at the same time, which I was soooo regretting when the woman who was doing the tattoo started on my second one after all the pain I’d just had from getting the first one but once it was all done it was totally worth it. Yes it was painful and no I didn’t actually scream or cry or even bitch about it. It was such a long type of pain that after a while you simply stop responding to it and just live with it. Of course once the needle was ticking on my collarbone and I could hear the ticking drumming through my skull, that was kinda the worst pain I’ve ever felt for that long but like I said; it was all worth it.

Yeah those were taken right after I could take off the plastic they put over the tattoos so there’s a bit of ink smudged here and there but at least I took care of the bloodstains right away. For a higher resolution you can just click on the images displayed in this post.

Now all I’ve gotta do is pay close attention to the aftercare of my tattoos. I’ve seen some messed up cases of infected tattoos and I really don’t want to wake up one morning and find myself all covered in blood, puss and ink. So yeah I’ll keep a close eye on that. The first week I’ve gotta put Vaseline on my tattoos every two hours. Yeah that’ll definitely start to fuck with my head as I tend to forget the most important things all the time. Also, I have to wash them twice a day for two weeks. After the initial two weeks are over I can relax and just wait and see. All I’ll have to do then is put on some Vaseline whenever I feel like that bit of skin is starting to hurt or refuses to stretch. And after eight weeks it should be fully healed. There ya go kids, I just taught you a little bit about aftercare for tattoos! Oh, and please don’t tell me I’ll regret this when I’m 80 years old and stuff like that because: A) I probably won’t even reach that age anyway, and B) as the tattoo has some meaning to it and some hidden stuff in it I think that even when the tattoo loses it’s flair by the time I’m 30, I’ll still look at it and think of the meaning behind the tattoo.

So I’ve basically got a reminder on my body that will remind me about how I was a few years back and how I am now, as well as what I wanted to do at this point in time. Trust me, it’s all hidden in there. So yeah please no “tattoo’s are bad” bullshit, I respect your opinion so please be so kind as to return the favor. I like tattoos. I love how they express someone’s inside on the outside. I love how they look, whatever it is that they look like. I don’t think they’re cool or hip, I think they’re a more serious extension of your looks. And I’m loving it already, and I haven’t even started any big tattoos yet! Did I not mention this before? I was kinda going for a full body tattoo. Yeah…

First off, I’m very sorry for the very long delays in updates lately. I’ve been having problems with all kinds of hardware and for a few days I couldn’t even use my computer. Luckily I’ve been able to patch it up for now. Tuesday I’ll have it all worked out. I’ve also been trying to change the way news is brought to you and I want to start doing that soon. Just small posts every 2 or 3 days containing all the latest highlights and other random stuff. It’s time to start using KTB more as a blog than some small news websites which I never intended it to be but somehow it turned out to be this way, don’t ask how ’cause I don’t have a clue. I’m currently downloading the Crysis DEMO from FileFront and I’ll be writing a little bit about that tomorrow along with a few screen shots which will be awesome considering my quad-core monster rig, which Crysis fully supports. Crysis is the only reason I currently have a quad-core CPU since all the other games have been promised to support it but thus far none of ‘em have.

I haven’t really talked about this but in a few months I might be posting my gaming news on an actual gaming news website, it’s currently in it’s early phases and right now it’d be pointless to show you the forums since that’s all we have. There’s a lot of posting going on though, so I have a lot of faith in the potential of this would-be community. Since gaming news can be found pretty much everywhere I’ve decided to focus more on movie news which is really hard to find if you don’t know where to look. That’s all I have to bitch about for today, see ya’ll later!

Today I tried out some magic mushrooms and for the first time I got really fucked up. I don’t drink (or smoke for that matter) so I’ve never been drunk or anything so this was quite an interesting experience. I live in The Netherlands and magic mushrooms can legally be obtained at any smart shop in pretty much any city. In fact, they are 100% legal while marijuana is only allowed to be carried in personal dozes, even though they are officially illegal even here in The Netherlands. The reason why I wanted to try this out was because I feel like everyone needs to do some sort of drugs in order to know what you’re dealing with when your own friends or even your own kids start messing around with it because chances are that your friends and/or kids try it out as well and when you share that experience you know how to deal with it.

My parents never did so that creates sort of a weird gap with me knowing the facts and having the experience while they only know what their parents told them about drugs, which is drugs are bad. And they are! I’m no junkie or anything and I wasn’t planning on becoming one either. That’s why I took a non-addictive drug. Magic mushrooms give you an experience rather than a feeling, of course you’ll laugh your ass off most of the time while on a trip but that’s not because the mushrooms made you feel happy, it’s because the world around you distorts and gets so weird all you can do is laugh. So if you want to try out a drug I suggest you try out something that messes with your senses rather than something that gives you an artificial feeling that then hooks you and makes you an addict if you don’t have enough self control. Of course this has to be legal in your country and right now The Netherlands is the only country in the western world that legalizes magic mushrooms, so don’t blame me if you’re sentenced to death for possession of drugs in Thailand because I did warn you. What are your thoughts on the subject? Keep in mind, I do live in a country known for legalized and allowed drug usage among other things that most countries aren’t even considering right now and that includes gay marriage which we were the first to allow. Yes we are very open minded people indeed. If you are interested in the effects, let’s just say that at one point I started chewing oxygen… That’s how weird it gets.

P.S: Try to avoid eating the mushrooms! If only I knew they’d taste THAT fucking disgusting before I started eating them… Seriously, they taste awful.

Tomorrow everyone is going back to school, which means I’m going to be working on school whenever I see no way to avoid doing so. I’ve never liked going to school and this year isn’t going to be any different since I’ll be getting up way too early and I’ll be in school most of the week wasting precious hours of my life I could be spending elsewhere. This year is going to be like a little test drive for me as I’ve been wanting to get into the French Foreign Legion for quite some time and next year I’ll be 18, which means I’ll get to drop out of school and get into the legion without anyone able to stop me. For now though, I’m forced to stay in school. If, however, this year turns out to be OK I’ll stick around for another three years. I highly doubt it but it’s a possibility.

I haven’t gotten around to getting BioShock yet but I will very soon and I’ll have a review up in no-time. I’m considering Medal Of Honor: Airborne but since all the previous MoH games turned out to be total shit (except for Allied Assault) I’m still sitting on the fence. I’ll install the demo somewhere today or tomorrow but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Stranglehold has been delayed for PC and X360 and I believe it was going to be released somewhere late September. Great. Next up is Half-Life 2: Episode Two along with the Orange Box that’ll be released on the 9th of October. I’m really looking forward to that as I’m quite the Half-Life fan. I’ll probably download the Black Box or whatever they’ll call it on Steam because I don’t feel like paying for HL2 and HL2: Ep1 again nor do I want them again. Valve already said they’d have a package similar to the original Black Box available on Steam so I guess this’ll be my first big Steam purchase with many to follow. Retail box? Meh, who needs it. The Orange Box cover looks like shit anyway.

I’ll try to blog more often as the news summaries get delayed over and over again. I think I’ll just start including small news items in blog posts soon.

I’ve picked up this blog where I left it when the first KTB met it’s end by the hands of a bored fat asshole who’s only joy in life was to delete other people’s hard work. I’ll be posting more regularly, but only if it’s big news which you can expect a lot these days with GC 2007 going on right now as we speak and November being the best month for gamers ever. Never thought I’d enjoy blogging again, but here we are! I’ll write some columns up fairly soon, if you have any suggestions please post them in the comments because quite honestly I have no ideas whatsoever. I’ve also noticed a slow increase in visitors which is awesome and unexpected. I’m still checking out recording applications to get video reviews off the ground but so far none of them work on Vista or they do work on Vista but just lag the shit out of games. Any suggestions on that end would be great too. So yeeaaaah… Help me out here guys!

Right now I’m going through a depression that can only be caused by the fact that in a couple of days I’ll be playing a kick ass game that I’ve been waiting on for months. This happens every time a good game is right around the corner, but this time it’s much much worse… Not only are there going to be two awesome games out by the end of this month, but in November there’ll be even more!! So right now all I want to do is play those games, which is impossible in so many ways right now and it’s pissing the fuck out of me. So what do I do? Usually I just sit around and hope for a coma to hit me so I can wake up and start playing straight away, but not this time.

You see guys, uhm, I’m not sure how to tell you this so I’ll just throw it out there: I’ve started watching The O.C. I have to say it’s fun to watch, gets kinda annoying at times though. Sometimes I feel like the director is trying to make it a viewer-participation kinda thing because the main character is supposed to be this bad ass from the street right? But he’s just a little bitch! All this time he’s acting all though and despite his baby face I initially thought: “Well, this could be fun.”. But every time this guy gets into a fight he gets the shit kicked out of him! ARGH! I hate that guy. And now it’s starting to look like the whole Kate situation from Lost, which I have really started to hate. Two guys going for the same girl, there was a time when that would be original and surprising but now it’s just fucking annoying. It’s gotten to the point where I’m not even sure just how much I want to see the next season of Lost. Damn it why doesn’t Kate just die?! That would solve like… All problems! At least all the problems I had with the show…

I just thought I’d recommend a few movies I’ve seen recently that you may or may not like. I’ll describe the movie a little bit just so you know whether or not it’s for you.

• Big Fish - Now my second favorite movie ever next to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It’s about a son who’s father is dying and as his father’s time is slowly ticking away he realizes that he knows nothing about him. All his life his father has been telling him fairy tales about his past, never telling him a single fact! Or has he? As his father’s life story is told in the way he’s been telling it all his life, his son suddenly starts to see that not everything is made up. The fable-esque story of his father’s life is in fact filled with facts, but he’s just gotta look past the metaphor’s and exaggerations. A very touching story and a must for people who like tearjerkers and/or semi-romantic stories.
• Sunshine - A very good movie about a crew of astronauts and scientists that are assigned to save their dying sun. Because if the sun dies, all life around it dies. All they have to do is get to the sun, drop a bomb inside of it and that way they will create a new star in a dying star. Easy huh? Nooot really… This is no movie for people that had trouble following movies like Die Hard, and yes, these people exist. As the crew is slowly reaching their destination they encounter a distress signal from a ship that was supposed to do the job they’re doing, only they failed for some reason. It is then decided that they take the other ship as well since two “last hope” ’s are better then one. But this turns out to be a huge mistake as they jeopardize the mission along with all the life on Earth. And then people start dying… I’d call this movie a space thriller as it’s all sci-fi and it’s got the thriller element so many movies fail to produce.
• Waiting - If you like movies about teenagers that work in a place that would otherwise be boring as hell, all the while including an endless amount of jokes about male genitalia than this is your movie. In a restaurant somewhere in America, a group of people work to serve their costumers as best they can. What makes this movie interesting? All the people that work there, except for the boss of course, are friends and they all have big parties so it’s more than just a restaurant with a bunch of people working there. They’re a tight team of friends who enjoy their job due to all the… extracurricular activities, hehe. There’s a game they play which involves flashing your dick in a number of ways, each resulting in a different penalty if the victim accidentally looks at it. It’s got Ryan Reynolds and Justin Long so you won’t be disappointed. Unless you hate comedies involving weird traditions and very “unique” characters. No, this is definitely not American Pie. This is more like American Pie without all the sex, no genitals are not shown and they wouldn’t count as sex even if they did!

I really really really want to go see The Simpsons Movie but guess what?! It’s not in any cinema over here yet!! Why?!??!?! I could download the TeleSync but I’d rather watch it in theaters first. However, if it doesn’t open within a week or so I will download the movie. This is money you’re flushing down the toilet Fox! I don’t really like the way Fox handles their high quality franchises. Does anyone remember Firefly? That was the best show ever… Until they canceled it! I’ve never liked a show as much as I liked Firefly but Fox screwed up and blamed the show. I could tell you the whole story but that’s not what I’ll use today’s blog post for. You can check the whole story out right here if you’re interested. And if you don’t even know what Firefly was then not only are you an idiot, but I command you to check this out. I’m still waiting for a second full feature movie. Serenity was AMAZING but the show’s cancellation is making the fans very hungry for more and since Joss Whedon doesn´t want to work with Fox any more (for obvious reasons) we’re fucked!
