My PC was revived and now everything is back up and running. I’m just about to play Kane and Lynch, which I have been dying to play for many months now. I’ll also play Call of Duty 4 and probably some Crysis later this month. I won’t be writing big reviews any more since there are plenty of places to get those from. Instead I’ll cut to the chase by just spilling the beans from my perspective. So no bullshit on journalistic integrity because it’s my opinion now. Well I’m off to rob banks, kill cops, kill innocent by-standers, backstab my buddies and raise hell in a third world country in Kane and Lynch: Dead Men! See ya’ll later!!

Sorry for the serious fucking lack of updates guys. I’ll get back to blogging in a few days as my PC has now totally fucking died on me and I really didn’t feel like blogging during it’s final week in which I slowly saw my PC die. It litterally DIED, mkay? All it’s vitals were failing until they all shutdown around the same day. I feel deserted… What the hell am I supposed to do now? I guess I could go outside and see if the sun is still up there, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the sun. Maybe if I walk outside this door the whole world will have gone all Fifth Element on me. That’d be awesome. I’d be cool with a zombie apocalypse too, but only if there are other survivors. I’d hate to be the Will Smith guy from I Am Legend. Yeah that would blow.

Enough bullshit from me, I’ll make it all up to you guys in a couple of days! Be sure to check out Andy’s comment on my tats, it’s kind of funny how he over-did his attempt at offending me and ended up with a piece of comedy gold. Well maybe not gold, but it was funny though.

First off, I’m very sorry for the very long delays in updates lately. I’ve been having problems with all kinds of hardware and for a few days I couldn’t even use my computer. Luckily I’ve been able to patch it up for now. Tuesday I’ll have it all worked out. I’ve also been trying to change the way news is brought to you and I want to start doing that soon. Just small posts every 2 or 3 days containing all the latest highlights and other random stuff. It’s time to start using KTB more as a blog than some small news websites which I never intended it to be but somehow it turned out to be this way, don’t ask how ’cause I don’t have a clue. I’m currently downloading the Crysis DEMO from FileFront and I’ll be writing a little bit about that tomorrow along with a few screen shots which will be awesome considering my quad-core monster rig, which Crysis fully supports. Crysis is the only reason I currently have a quad-core CPU since all the other games have been promised to support it but thus far none of ‘em have.

I haven’t really talked about this but in a few months I might be posting my gaming news on an actual gaming news website, it’s currently in it’s early phases and right now it’d be pointless to show you the forums since that’s all we have. There’s a lot of posting going on though, so I have a lot of faith in the potential of this would-be community. Since gaming news can be found pretty much everywhere I’ve decided to focus more on movie news which is really hard to find if you don’t know where to look. I know it’s been quiet around here but I’ll post a few news summaries ASAP as I’m kinda busy this week.

So I’m copying and pasting my news summaries over to RLSLOG now. Why? I’m glad I have 100 regulars here on KTB but if 80000 other people can see it too, why not? I’m back on RLSLOG because Mike, the reason why I had to leave, is never around any more which made my leave a total waste. Martin’s good on release posters but my news summaries could bring a new flavor to RLSLOG and at this point it’s all about the “could“. Articles and reviews and all that stuff is still on KTB only! So don’t you dare leave me! Hell, I might be able to convert a few souls on RLSLOG! But I’m not plugging my blog either, kinda have to keep it professional you know?

In the last weeks the KTB traffic has increased slowly but surely and every now and then it gets a big bump that last for about a day and then the amount of vistors goes back to the average 100 regulars and a shit load of random people who go to KTB for 6 seconds through Google Images and then dissapear, never to return again.

I was just wondering how this increase of visitors was able to take place since the amount of people that come here through search engines are like 30 people a day, and they usually don’t hang around very long either. I haven’t advertised in months but I’ll be sure to do so again right after I get the shitload of news from numerous news summaries out somewhere this week. So if you’re new to KTB, please tell me how you got here! Thanks in advance.

I’ve picked up this blog where I left it when the first KTB met it’s end by the hands of a bored fat asshole who’s only joy in life was to delete other people’s hard work. I’ll be posting more regularly, but only if it’s big news which you can expect a lot these days with GC 2007 going on right now as we speak and November being the best month for gamers ever. Never thought I’d enjoy blogging again, but here we are! I’ll write some columns up fairly soon, if you have any suggestions please post them in the comments because quite honestly I have no ideas whatsoever. I’ve also noticed a slow increase in visitors which is awesome and unexpected. I’m still checking out recording applications to get video reviews off the ground but so far none of them work on Vista or they do work on Vista but just lag the shit out of games. Any suggestions on that end would be great too. So yeeaaaah… Help me out here guys!

Yesterday Steam Community has been made available through: File -> Settings -> Account, then you’ll see a small dropdown menu under “Beta Participation”. From there you can participate in the Steam Community beta until they officially release it. Right now there’s a few bugs here and there and for some reason you get notified what game every player in the server is “currently playing” but aside from those little problems it’s a lot of fun. I’ve been messing around with it all day and it’s fun. I’ve joined groups from websites I visit daily, I have been considering a KTB group but who am I kidding? I only get more than a hundred daily views nowadays next to the 100 other 10 second visits from other people that come here through Google. However, if you guys would like a KTB group I could do it. We’d only need like 10 members to not be a total joke!

It’s now also possible to add other applications that are not available on Steam to your My Games list as shortcuts which is a very welcome surprise as I’ve always wanted to clean up my desktop and use Steam more frequently and not only for Garry’s Mod which I hardly ever play any more. Can’t wait for the other two Half-Life 2 episodes either but that’s a different topic. In the editing page for you SteamID there’s a description next to the avatar section which may indicate that Team Fortress 2 will somehow use your SteamID avatar in-game. If anyone wants a Steam Community group, vote in the poll!

It’s time to get the daily posts rolling again. I’ve been busy lately and I had completely forgotten about KTB, but I’m bringing back the daily posts! Also, I was just thinking that I might just do all the news summaries this weekend and get that over with so I can post daily news in the daily posts. Would make life a lot easier on me and it would bring back some of the old KTB quality that a lot of readers are missing.

Today I watched 28 Weeks Later and I believe I owe the movie’s writer a sincere apology. A few months back I saw the trailer and I instantly thought it was a crappy American sequel to an amazing British movie. The original was awesome, but the sequel is even better! The 28 Days Later atmosphere was totally there and it was even better this time around. The only thing I would’ve liked to see more was the original “lore” from the original movie. Like how the infected only come out at night and stuff, that wasn’t there any more. I had hoped that the Rage virus would end in the first movie, but it looks like the ending of 28 Weeks Later left room for an epic second sequel and I mean epic. I recommend all those of you that are into zombie movies to check out both 28 Weeks Later as well as the original 28 Days Later if you haven’t done so already!

Welcome to the resurrection of the old KTB days with version 3 of KTB! With WordPress back as the website’s CMS (content management system) I’ll enjoy blogging once again. Drupal was a good CMS, but not for KTB I’m afraid. I do have some ideas that might require Drupal but that’s for some other time. All the old routines and whatnot are being followed until further notice. That means:

• News Summaries are posted on Monday and the small one’s on Friday but that’s more of a random event so don’t be disappointed if you don’t get your Friday content because I’m not promising anything.
• Polls will be updated frequently when I deem the number of votes enough or the length of a poll’s duration too long. Your vote will change the fate of this site so be sure to vote! C’mon guys, how hard is that?
• I’m still fucking around with video reviews and other news items/categories! The latest Fraps should help but so far it’s just been crashing on me…

I will still be tweaking bits and pieces of the site but the design is now done and tomorrow I will try to post all of the news summaries I have missed.
